EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association) was founded in 1978 in London by Carola Grindea, piano player and English teacher of Romanian origin.
EPTA is now active in 42 European countries. These 42 sections, including EPTA-Belgium Wallonie-Bruxelles asbl since its foundation in 1990, all work for the same goal and the same ideal : to defend human and artistic values linked to the practice of music, and get involved in all aspects of the art and the teaching of the piano since the beginnings, so decisive, until mastership.
EPTA has numerous activities: organising conferences, competitions, master class, seminars and international meetings on themes related to teaching, encouraging young talents and stimulating contacts between piano teachers.
Our next EPTA-Belgium W-B Pedagogical Day will take place on 16th November 2019.
Venue: Pianos Maene, 37 rue de l'Argonne, 1060 Brussels.
The theme will be "the repertoire for pianoforte and modern piano", with the pianists and pianofortists Claire Chevallier, Piet Kuyken and Boyan Vodenitcharov.
